If you know an Avon representative, get a jar of their original moisture cream (or modern equivalent if no longer made) for the neck irritation while you're learning. My dad had sensitive skin even with an electric razor and used it as an aftershave. I used it during my cartridge razor days when my face was always irritated. One of my memories of my parents was my mother ordering an extra jar of the Avon cream and sending one home with me when I visited.
