    Default Hi New Guy with a Blade

    My Grammy past away and was helping my mom go through some stuff and acquired one of my Grandfathers straight razors. Mom says he may have picked it up in Germany while in the Army.

    I would like to shave with it and ask the group for advice on needed supplys and recommended vendors.

    Being a new shaver myself, I have no idea what it is, but it's beautiful - the spine is really interesting. What a great memento.
    Can it be barbaric and civilized at the same time?
