    Like Chev sez, I NEVER get the pivot wet and rinse under the hottest water. I then dry the blade longditudinally, avoiding the edge. I then gently strop the razor on the dry towel and leave open for a day or so to insure the scales and blade are fully dry. I use Tufglide and have no need to oil!
    Strop and put back into rotation.
    Get it on......
