Thanked: 0Help!?
While shaving yesterday, I hit the edge of my straight razor on the faucet, putting a small dent in the blade. It does not go past the edge bevel. It doesn't affect my shave. Is this something that can just be taken care of the next time I get it honed or is it going to take take more work, like completely regrinding the edge?

Thanked: 2591Does the ding feel on the cheek? That kind of deformation usually does not go unnoticed.

Thanked: 0It is very close to the end of the blade, which I do not often use when I shave. I did not notice it causing any issues this morning other than it looking unsightly and reminding me of my carelessness from yesterday.

Nice little chip there. If it is not scratching up your strop, or your face I would let it go untill you need to have it sharpened. It can be honed out then.

At least it's towards the edge and not in the middle, after a few honings over time it will disappear. As long as you don't feel it on your face or strop I would just forget about it. I've seen a lot worse.
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

No worry that can be honed out,its on you if you let it honed out now (before you dammage your strop and mayby your face )or you let the chip where he is, and honed out later. If its were mine i honed out now ! buts al up to you.
