    Angry Dulling my Blade!

I used to grow a beard when I was a logger, just returned to the military however and had to shave again. So I decided to use a straight razor. I have only been doing it for 2 months. I bought a Boker Eidelwiess, it did not come shave ready, so I bought a Norton 4/8 stone without success. So I decided to purchase a Dovo Bismark that was sharpened by Lynn so I could sent the Boker in to him. I noticed that the Dovo was getting a little dull and tried to use Lynns Youtube videos, I thought following them to a T, but all I have is a razor burned face from a dull blade. Need some pointers and looking for a lesson or local sharpener in the Fort Lewis, Washington area. Thanks in advance.

Click on notifications (top Right side of page)
Go to inbox (or unread message if available)
You should see the pm from him
Open it by clicking on it, reply to it in the lower box and hit send.

If someone has not sent you a PM and you wish to send them one
Left Click on their name here in a thread,
    a box will appear,
    Chose private message,
dialogue box will open similar to email.
put a subject in the subject line (it will make you if you forget)
Type your message in the larger lower box and hit send

    Hope that helps

You are fortunate to have help. These guys will get you honing in no time. It is a little tricky to learn on your own and takes time and trial and error. The Norton is a great stone and will suit your needs well. You are off to a good start. Wish I had help when I started honing. It took me a couple of months to get it right.

    Hello there,

I live in Kent/Maple Valley are so I could help you as well. Let me know when you would like to meet and we can do small honing session. I might take one of my friends too from Renton so you can meet him and exchange idea and experience.
