so i had the monday off and went to some antique stores and came accrossed this razor. can anyone help me out on if it was a good buy. i paid $25. whats it gonna take to get it shave ready, and anything else that would be helpful to know.

Looks like a very nice razor of the period. Check the classifieds for a none person or a mentor nearby to you. Trying to shave with an almost sharp razor is a disaster.
Also, check the wiki for a lot of useful information.

Looks like a nice razor. No nicks in the blade. I have a few vintage razors that I have used for years. Give it a good honing and stroping and you should be good to go. Some of the vintage razors are better than the new ones.
