Basically, I can get a BBS shave on my entire face, including my upper lip. However, a dark shadow of sorts always remains on my upper lip no matter how close I get. If I feel my mustache with my finger, it feels smooth in all directions unless I really press my finger into my skin and feel the hair underneath the skin basically. Do you all know of ANY way to improve this... it's embarrassing to have a super clean shave everywhere but look unkempt because of this shadow..

My prep + routine:

*EJ DE89 with Astra Superior Premium blades

- Shower
- Wash face again with hot water
- CO Bigelow Shaving Cream applied with AoS badger brush (also, currently breaking in Omega 49 Boar Brush)
- WTG, XTG (ear to mouth), ATG (diagonal-ish ATG on mustache)
- Wash face with cold water
- After shave lotion

I used to be able to get the clean shaven look on my upper lip too, but about a year ago that just stopped happening. I honestly don't know what caused the change. I switched to DE shaving about 4 months ago.
