Thanked: 3Straight Day 4 stretch and relax! Shaving as a spectator sport...
After getting 'bitten' by my razor (http://straightrazorpalace.com/membe...w-lessons.html) I'm now almost healed up and four days in. The shaving is feeling great and I'm getting better at it. This is definitely something to make time for and enjoy. I think the carry over from using a 5 blade safety is a tendency towards speed and lack of care and attention. Really want to avoid that...
Stretching the skin well seems really important and a bit of a routine is forming on some parts of my face. Amazing how quickly you learn when properly motivated by a sharp bit of steel...if I'd known that I would have started years ago.
There are areas I'm consistently missing though. The high fear areas I'd say: under the nostrils, corners of the mouth and chin!
My shave is now a spectator sport. The whole family are getting involved with my children standing at minimum safe distance and gasping in horror. This morning, I was shown a Dracula book with a picture of the Count himself lurking behind a straight user with a nasty nick...not sure what they are trying to tell me.
As predicted that hair just can't grow fast enough. Seems a bit ironic that I'm now developing less stubble because I'm getting closer...
On the plus side the chance of my wife nabbing this razor and blunting it on her pins is near zero :-)

Congratulations! Good to hear it is getting better. I have a few shaves under my belt. With varying success but they seem to be getting better for me also! Good luck and stick with it!

I am also on shave 4, I just go really slowly around the scary bits. My shaves have definately improved but a fair way to go yet. Don't know if I would be keen for an audience yet mind you :-). Have already purchased a third razor, and sent my original eBay purchase off to Os to see if it can be salvaged, that was one I bought prior to knowing what to buy
