Thread: Moving from shavette to straight, need some advice

    They both look decent from the pictures.
    The hone wear looks more than acceptable to me.
    I would also like to note the W&B does not look like a wedge or near wedge from the pictures.

    It is entirely possible that I don't know what a wedge looks like. Here are some pictures. My thought is that this doesn't have that "hollow" shape, and must be a wedge. What would you say it is?

    I did the same transition from Shavette to a Straight and actually thought it was easier. I was getting a lot more cut up with a Shavette than I am now. It might be having done it for a little while, but the Shavette is so much lighter than a Straight that I thought it was a lot easier to cut myself. Hope you find it an easy transition. You have a couple of really nice Straights.
