Started reading then shaving well equipped with knowledge. Kept reading finding out and buying more and more( wife not impressed) and was using towels pre shaves alum moisturisers etc etc. Now cold rinse, cold lather shave with cold water, cold rinse and moisturise at end. Done. Best shaves yet. And to stone question Id have to say Escher for finishing.
