Lightbulb starting to look for my first razor.

Hey I just registered. I've read most of your beginner posts. And I'm starting to look for my first razor. Cheers!

Welcome to SRP. Good luck in finding that first razor. There are lots of things to consider and if you look, most of your questions will be answered here in the forum. There's always someone around to point you in the right direction.

    Regards - Walt

Haha I think I'm ready for it.

I just purchased my first blade out of the classified section! I'm pumped

Welcome, glad to have you on the forum!!

I was going to tell you that new razors are pretty scarce right now. It seems Dovo and Boker are having some production lags and are out of stock most places.

I was going to recommend the classifieds here, but, you're ahead of me!!

Some other excellent reading and info are linked below in my sig. line. The wiki and Beginner's Tips.

    Again, Welcome!!

    Regards,

Sweet! I hope I'm doing everything correctly so far!

The guy who I bought the razor from is really nice and is really willing to help out however he can. I'm really liking this place.

I'll be sure to read some more!

Here's a link to what I just bought, what do you guys think?

Looks like a nice razor. Also looks like the square point has been muted. That's good!! A true spike point can really snag you, especially when you're just starting out with a straight.

    and keep having fun!!

That's a beauty. I'd looked at that one but eventually got a French point. Didn't want to take any chances. LOL You did good!
