2nd Str8 Shave >>>>> nothing a quick bath in an alum slurry won't fix
After watching a number of "how to" videos I decided to take my tablet in with me cued up to my favorite one. Away we go.
Play - Stop - Play - Stop - Play ..... etc. 20 minutes later .
Results: Smooth shave, no missed areas & only 1 nick but not on my face. Ready ..... nicked the end of my thumb when it slipped up the heel and caught the blade

I say post pics in the cut of the day thread. You know, for fun.
Sorry to hear about the cut, but congrats on the shave!"Willpower and Dedication are good words," Roland remarked, "There's a bad one, though, that means the same thing. That one is Obsession." -Roland Deschain of Gilead

Thanked: 177These are all reminders to be careful. I got myself while honing once. Never carry an open razor. I shave after work so I keep my shoes on. I havent dropped one yet. The key word is yet. Lol. I lock my lab out of the area where Im honing. A little nudge or jump and we are both in trouble.

Thanked: 1195Well done, and don't be embarrassed about cutting your thumb - the worst cuts I've had from SR's have been on my fingers, not my face.

Thanked: 17Better your thumb than your nose. My worst cuts have been when I've bumped the blade with my fingers or thumb during a moment of distraction. Not a good thing to have the wife and two kids running in and out of the bathroom trying to talk to you when you're holding the sharpest blade you'll ever handle against your throat.
