    Could someone recommend me a beginners kit please(straight razor, honing stone, strop)?

    SRD has kits.

    I could recommend individual piece PM me if you wish.

    With that said, forget the honing for at least 6-8 months, it's the last thing that you need to worry about!

    There is such a Huge Learning Curve with the angles, stropping, even making lather that you will only slow yourself down!!

    Leave the honing to others for now!! I preach what I practiced! I'm so glad that I did! Ask pinklather where he got the name from!!! Red blood mixed with white shaving soap ='s pinklather!!

    I do now hone and have for a few years now and I get some nice compliments on my work, but I'm so very glad that I at least semi-mastered the others before I did!!
