    Default What a great place!

I joined SRP 2/3 weeks ago and thought I would have a read, try and learn what I need to and sit quietly in the background as I do.
I have asked for your knowledge on a few occasions and received some very helpful answers, one guy sent a PM later to ask how I was doing.....superb, I thought, decent chap!
Anyway, I'm getting around the forum, reading this and that, every morning I have a read, and when I get home from work.....I think I'm getting addicted.
I enjoying shaving now, firstly with my rolls, now I have my Dovo, it's not a chore anymore. And I'm only just starting out!
Sorry, I'm rambling.....SRP is a very welcoming place, you guys are very knowledgable!

    Just want to say thanks!

Welcome aboard and keep on asking whatever you want: there will always be someone who will give you a good answer or advice.
The best thing is however you keep on enjoying wet shaving and straight razors!

Welcome to SRP! You should check out the chatroom sometime. You can often get an answer instantly,to any questions you might have. In the event that you come in without any questions..........we'll talk about darn near anything.

I know exactly what you mean. A guy on an e-mail list mentioned he shaves with a SR and I asked him about it. He pointed me here, and I've been hooked. I check the classified several times a day, and have already bought 2 razors. (One will need some repair work, but I loved the etching on the blade.)

I completely agree with you. This forum has taught me many things, but two thing some to mind as the biggest:

    1. This forum makes you learn a lot, and

    2. This forum will make you try and will your beard to grow faster just so you can shave again!!!

maybe that should be a new forum moto, "SRP - Addicting You To Shaving For Life!"

It's hard to figure out, i've spent more money on straight razor equipment in the last month or two than i ever did on golf, hunting, shooting in the same time period. I think there is a conspiracy going on here somewhere, somehow. A lot of interesting people to go along with it.

Seems like old razors are starting to fall in my lap now and i keep telling myself i have enough but they just keep on showing up. hehe

The value and interest of life is not so much to do conspicuous things.........as to do ordinary things with the perception of their enormous value.
