Thanked: 2
The seller said it should be shave ready, but i did not feel it was all the way there.
Got in conntact with someone living just a few minutes away from me, that could hone the razor. So he did that today, he said the edge was not all straight, so he fixed it with some honing and stropped the razor for me. So it cut the hair on my arm in the air, so can't wait for tommorow to try it
Got my filly stropp also today so going to practice a bit now to get the feel how i should strop my razor. But will take it slow in start to get the motion going

Thanked: 2So i shaved this morning, i did not strop the razor because i got the razor honed and stropped yesterday by someone who knew what they were doing. And let me tell you, did not feel like it was the same SR did slide so easy when going WTG. So did a full shave much fast now, and with less skin irritation.
Still so much to learn, but got one less thing to worry about. I need to find out how to shave the neck on both sides of the Adam's apple, struggle with that.

Great news! I'm at about that same stage. Finished my neck with cartridge this morning. Each day I'm getting the hang of another portion of my face and the different approaches I need to take. I also got a 3" wide paddle strop from SRD and that is much easier (at least for me) not to do a good job on. It takes the strop tension and X stroke variables out of the process so I can cocentrate on proper technique and pressure.

Thanked: 2Was think about the 3'' strop, but did go with the filly (hanging strop) from ruprazor to get some practice and learn the motion. But i got to do X stokes, but i think it is going good so far
There is so much to learn about SR really! it is kind of addictive, restoration, soaps, creams, aftershave and i really enjoy it all.
I am so glad i decided to buy a SR and can stop using mach 3 with that normal booring shaving foam.

Tusen takk Yea, did not think there would be many Norwegians when i joined the SRP forum, but i see there are a few
Think it will take a ''few'' more shaves before i can master it :P But the most important thing is that i am enjoying the shave anyway. And i see this as my hobby already
Have sanded down a blade, and just started to make acrylic/plexi scales, so i will have a second razor also
