Thread: Anyone know where to buy a good Razor in the beneluxe?

Hi,

I am from the Netherlands, but nowhere in the Netherlands or in Belgium I find a good vintage razor. Does anyone have some adress or places I could check? I live in Limburg, so very close to Belgium.

I was hoping some people would know a place I am looking for a good blade either new or vintage but not to expensive.

But be warned: buying from these places and not getting a bad blade requires some insight and knowledge on what to buy and they will probably need some work. Cleaning, rescaling, honing, etc.

If you want a good blade that needs no work you can also check the sales section in this board and see if some member sells a blade that you would like in a shave ready state.

There is still a good old razor store in antwerp it still looks like the old days and i just been there yesterday to restock on proraso soap.

The owners are very friendly ppl and you can call them during the day with any questions. They have a website as well and will send orders to Belgium and the Netherlands.
If you want to visite the store it very close to the Meir (shopping street) in Antwerpen so you can make a shopping day or some site seeing in the City if you feel like it.

the shop "De Messenwinkel" is worth a visit.
They also have an online shavingcourse and are giving courses in their basement .

Afaik, they don't sell vintage razors.

Great info but that guy bought a bunch of razors in 2013 and quit a month later so I doubt he will be reading it.
