Acquiring leather
Heya,
I've been using a cheap-ass strop from ebay for a while now, and I'm looking for a new strop. I'd like to build it myself actually, because it seems like a nice little project. However i don't really know a good place to find some 3" strips of leather.
do any of ya'll have some ideas?

I hit up a local bootmaker for leather scraps for a board strop, but I'm not sure if you have one locally. Good luck!

Where are you located? There will be a leather dealer at the coming knifeshow in Tiel. Wat is de DKE(Apart from the whole leather thing it'll be a fun time....)
Or if you're anywhere close to Oss I'd be happy to share a piece with you. I think I can spare a small piece.

Haha, I do live near Oss. You might know me better as 'Yos' on the dutch knife forums... or not, as I'm not very active lol.
