Thanked: 1I'm looking for a honer in NL
Hi,
I'm looking for a honer in NL somewhere around Amsterdam, Utrecht or Alkmaar. I bought a coticule, with what I tried to hone my SR. Now it's not shaving as comfortable anymore. (I tried to hone it because I read that shave ready from factory is not that shave ready).

Thanked: 3Hi Metsie, I think I can be of help. I honed a couple of razors and I'm getting satisfying results, the main difference is that I use Naniwa's and not a Coticule. So I can hone your razor, but I can not explain you how to use a coticule.

Thanked: 1Hi guys, First of all, thanks for the replies.
I don't think I'll be in urgent need of assistance anymore. In the last 3 weeks I practiced honing a lot on vintage (and cheap) razors. I managed to get them sharp enough to shave comfortable (after which i made them dull again, and honed them again). I also managed to get my Bismarck to be sharper then it was when it arrived from the factory. They can always get sharper and I'm not there yet, but I'll get there, and in the mean time I can get a comfortable shave again.
Also I'm expecting a serie Naniwa's to be delivered tomorrow. I'll practice honing with them too.
@Noxa. Maybe I can come over some time so you can watch me hone a razor just to give me some tips/advices or so? As you can see, I'm not only interested in Coticule honing, but also in honing with synthetic stones.
