    Default To early for a 6/8 ?

    Hi, I'm using a SR for 3 months. I started with a basic DOVO 5/8. When I'm using this SR, I have good shaves, no irritation, no scarfs, no blood, no cutting; a clean shave. A few weeks ago, I bought a Dovo Master S 6/8 (stainless steel) and every time I use this SR, I'm cutting myself, have irritations etc... Is it maybe to early to use this SR ? Do I need more time ?
    Thx

    I think it has more to do with the difference between carbon and stainless steel.

    My tip would be the sharpening job. I don't feel a difference between carbon and stainless while shaving, but this is only me

    If your technique is down after three months, the size of the blade should not affect you that significantly. I tend to side with Jeness, that maybe it's a honing issue or there is a small chip, etc. on the blade. Good luck.

    I have two stainless razors. Absolutely no difference in terms of the shave.
    Also, 5/8" or 6/8", we're talking mm's here so I don't think there's a problem with the size of the razor;
    So I'm pretty certain it's a question of whether both razors are as sharp. Strop them both and try the hanging hair test on both of the razors, see if they perform differently.
