Well, if you are not too hung up on a scuttle, just go to a thrift store and get an onion soup bowl with a handle or a large coffee mug. I found something having a 4 inch/100cm diameter and about 2 1/2 inches/70 cm deep with rounded bottom to be about right for bowl lathering.

Ikea has nice big bowls for a cheap price. Or look on fleamarkets for nice bowls
