Hmm, that is very interesting. I can't imagine it would damage the brush as it seems to be a pretty gentle process. I have to disagree with nightshade about the semogue out of the box. My 1460 was much more gruff out of the box then my Omega 10005. The first shave with it was less than enjoyable but since then it has become my favorite of the bunch.
