    I'll take 24 or 26 equally.

I use from 19-30 and I like a nice fluffy with a bit of backbone at 24ħmmm. I have a narrow face and usually can keep the lather out of my ears with that size.
    YMMV

So far I have badgers in 20, 22 and a couple of 24's. I prefer the larger size so next experiment for me will be 26...then lkely 28 and 30:>) I believe loft to be at least equally important to knot size and I would also throw out knot density as another important variable.

    Cheers

I buy the knot to fit the brush i'm fixin'. So far most of my experience has been with 26, but I have a 24 patiently waiting my extrication of the previous varmint follicular pod (VFP) for installations. The 19 is a bit weak.

I don't know if I'd want to wrestle much bigger than 26, it fills a bowl/face/sink in short order.

If you are talking silver tip badger it would depend on the type of silver tip, loft, how densely packed, bulb or fan and how much it blooms. If I bought another one it would probably be a 24mm knot. You can't always go by what the listed knot size is either. Ordered a densely packed silver tip 3 band bulb that listed as 25mm and after it bloomed thought damn that is an awful big knot. My calipers say the knot is 27mm. It is getting to be on the too big side for me.
