    Default Bocote Brush

A pat on the head to the first person who can tell me what's unusual about this brush!

By the way, I've got a serious case not of "BAD" but "BMD".

Looks great. What happened to the rest of the bowling pin ? j/k The grain pattern is unusual ? I am not a big turner but it looks like the crook of a branch or something. Of course if I am right it is a waaaay lucky guess.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Nice job! It appears to me that the blank had been cut at an angle, but I'd also agree with 10pups

Ya, what Trimmy72 said. The grain is oriented sideways and there's either a bit of colored epoxy, or is that sap wood on the base? Also, your back drop for the photoshoot is a nice piece of wenge!

You guys are too quick! Yes, on both counts. This is 'face turned' and that's a bit of sap wood at the bottom.

Bocote is dense, and this is a heavy handle, making for an interesting and momentum filled lathering experience.
