    Default Another Mug Type

Here is a thread over on B&B with yet another type of what could be a handy shave mug. Looks interesting to me, I wonder where from though?

Here is the link where to buy it at $26.98, not too bad at all. Buy two or more and get 50% S&H of second item.

Interesting, though it looks a little big. You would need a pretty long brush for it I would suspect. Still, very clever.

    The measurements have me a little confused "Measures 9-1/2"L x 6-3/4"W x 6H.""

Is it 9 1/2" high or 6" high? I cannot see how they can have three measurements for something round, or am I missing something

I have hummed and hared about the Moss scuttle, but for me it seems a bit on the small side. I like to whip my lather up in the bowl, and I see this double boiler of perhaps having a big enough diameter to be able to get in to the jug and mix to my hearts content.

At the moment I'm using a similar thing made from a couple of foam noodle bowls, it keeps the lather nice and warm, but gets tiresome having to add water to the bottom bowl and only to exactly the right level or else it over flows.

9 1/2" might be the width of the mug including the handle.

That is very cool...BUT since it is metal it will loose heat faster than the moss scuttle. It is also a bit huge. Definately a plausable alternative.

I am waiting for the test report by someone who has bought one. I reckon by being able to actually boil the water in it, and it essentially being a sealed unit, that perhaps it will retain the heat long enough for a shave. Time will tell I guess, and we will also see how the size goes whether it being to deep or what.
