Advice needed for Shavemac purchase please!

Hello gents. I am looking for some advice on a brush purchase at Shavemac. I am looking to buy the bulb shape 26mm 437 in 3 BandSilver Tip (non-D01) and I notice that the stock loft is 61mm on it. Now if I get this brush for primarily bowl lathering do you think I should keep the loft where it is? I am worried it might be too high. I was toying with the idea of making it 58mm or so.

Any of you actually have this brush at the stock loft and how does that work for you with the non D01 3 Band Silvertip?

I should add that I want to keep it the standard silvertip as I really dislike any scritch whatsoever. I have come to prefer the softer brushes as my skin is very sensitive.
