Anyone else have a Vulfix that sheds like crazy?
About a year ago I picked up a Vulfix 41 silvertip, and to this day it still sheds almost as much as my dog - at least 2 or 3 bristles each shave, and on rare occasion as many as 6 or 7...
Don't get me wrong, absolutely love the brush and its soft, luxurious feel. So much so that I really don't mind the shedding much at all. And when it comes time for a new one - whether it be in 5 or 15 years - I'm pretty sure I'll get another 41.
I'm just a little curious though how many other Vulfix fans find their brush to be a chronic shedder...Last edited by Malacoda; 05-10-2014 at 06:57 PM.

I don't have one now however I have had a couple and never had shedding issues. Any brush can be a shedder. It just happens to the unlucky.

Not a Vulfix but I have a high end brush that didn't shed .......... until it did....... then it was as you describe yours. After a few years of that it quit shedding (knocking on wood) and still has so much bristle that no one could ever tell it shed the first hair. Good luck with yours.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 14I had a Vulfix that shed as described, the seller made good on it. But I raised the issue at the outset, not after two years. Maybe contact Vulfix/Simpson customer service

Like I said, I'm still thrilled with the brush and am not worried about/looking to have it replaced (even with it's regular shedding it'll still last for years). Was just curious if it was a unique instance, or something that is a bit more prevalent with Vulfix brushes than, say, their higher end line of Simpsons.
As it stands, looks as though it's more of a unique instance...John

Thanked: 1936Mine is good, but I dry with bristles down after each use. I've heard that hot water over a long period of time and sitting bristles up effects a brush in a bad way. I won't do away with hot water, but I do dry one properly.
