    I have scoured the fleabay and found not a single one like it. However, the knot is set in an aluminum cup which is installed into the handle. So with that known, a lot of German-made brushes have that feature, it seems. I put it in the late 50's. Just a guess, though!

    The term Vulcanized on shaving brushes is quite common, I like 10pups idea but also look for one with the name on the lower portion on the handle, me thinks its not made in the US.
