    Default Take on a Tulip

A while back I had asked HARRYWALLY (Andrew) if he could do me up Tulip style handle with a Virginia Sheng 22mm synthetic knot. I also asked him to hold off till I got the loft setting figured out and the reason for the DIY synthetic brush I made. This is the final result with the loft set at 48mm with a 50mm tall handle of ebony. Andrew did a super job and she is a very nice face lathering brush. I liked the idea of the lip at the top of the brush and as I had thought it does a good job of keeping the lather off of my hands. Yes, I like Simpson style handles, they are classics for a reason having stood the test of time.

Unfortunately it seems that they are too busy to take on custom work or at least were when I asked a while back. OTH it means that all their capacity at the new facility seems to be going to making standard items that are selling well which is good for them and breaths new life into the company.

Simpson will not do custom work or loft settings, they do not have to.
For whatever reason, people flock to simpson brushes.

Like anything else it's all about reputation. Once you have a good one it becomes self generating for your business.
