Default Thumbs up for Semogue 2000

I have of late put a lot of thought into the purchase of my first "real" shaving brush. I originally started off with a VDH boar that is poor at best. It face lathered decent but I was unable to get a decent bowl lather with several of my hard soaps. Was starting to think I was completely incapable. But then I made the best $23.0 purchase I can recall. With the advice of many on this forum, I chose to acquire a Semogue 2000 boar. Wow!! what a difference. on my first attempt I was successful at creating a luxurious, overflowing bowl of lather from my most frustrating tin of soap, Kell's original hemp oil. This stuff was on it's way to the trash can but with the help of this new fandangled semogue, it was one of my best shaves. As a result of the tried and true wisdom that is so very evident on this forum, I have had yet another breakthrough in my SR shave. A whole other dimension has been uncovered. I highly recommend the Semogue 2000 and thank you all once again.

It's a wonderful and very soft once fully broken in. I only have two boars but the 2000 is my favorite. I still wanna grab another Semogue when I can.
Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!

It's great that the 2000 is working so well for you. You may want to try the SOC for your next boar brush.

Semogue 2000 is one fantastic brush. Very soft from the begining and after break in period it performs better than any badger. Due to its huge size you can use it for body lathering and your woman will be happy with the idea. Give it a try.

Hello, correct me if i am wrong:
Your woman uses your brushes for her legs? or Your woman helps you lathering your body?

I've heard that SOC is the best boar there is but it takes a lot and i mean a freaking LOT of time to break it in. most people say it took them 6 months to break it in. I have the 2000 and it's the best brush i've had the chance to use to this day. Don't know if the L'occitane Plisson one with top it... We shall see!
    Have a nice day!

I see you are head in clouds. We are talking about mutual lathering under the shower with some shower gel or something like that. It is a nice foreplay and it also helps to break the brush in, so there are no body grooming connotations. Also I'm not some kind of stingy miser cobra in pocket so I share brushes and razors with my woman and she is happy about it.

Just tell me which wet shaving addict has only one brush?

You may be familiar with english phrases but we here have "covered" that some thousands years ago in ancient Greece
We had the word "aitherovamon" (αιθεροβαμων) which still use it.

I have bought and tested about 112 brushes.

so I share brushes and razors with my woman and she is happy about it.
    So what?
I am not sharing my blades with my wife so I am at downside?

Just tell me which wet shaving addict has only one brush?
Maybe the Ebenezer Scrooge based on John Meggot who latter he changed his name to John Elwes.

Back to the topic from my side.
If the SOC needs 6 months (i presume on 3-4 times a week use) then i am far away from it.
I have the 2000 and that doesn't bloom so much as the SOC but even like this beats all my Omega which stand tough resisting to over-blooming.
