    Some of my Brushes I bought 30 yrs ago,I have never cleaned a brush,they seem fine today.

    Looking at the OPs post again,He states a NEW brush.
    My recomendation is palm lather with what you use and rinse,should be good to go.

    im with you on this Bill , when I get my new brushes , I just palm lather a few times and the smell is gone , and its ready to use , I don't know why but ive been using my Cella as a breakin soap ,, works up a good lather and smells nice ,,, and very inexpensive tc

    I've never found a need to clean a new brush. I just soak it, then lather it up and go!
