Thanked: 1Where to get small 2" soap cake For my soap scuttle from eBay?
Got a StoneWare Soap Scuttle on eBay...Burleight Staffordshire...
I saw a lot of really nice, fancy, scuttles, expensive scuttles and cracked & broken scuttles...
This one was the cheapest at under $10.00 I was happy. Problem is that it takes a really small 2" diameter soap cake....
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Thanked: 346Classic makes their soaps in that size, and I believe the Gold-Dachs "Rivivage" they sell is also that size. You can also carve a cake of Williams to fit.

One suggestion is to take a nice glycerine-based soap and make up some rounds for yoruself - this way you get a soap you like in the size you need, as opposed to buying a soap you may not like just 'cause its the right size.
If you lined your scuttle with wax paper or parchment paper, you could likely use the scuttle itself as a mold. Alternately you could use a measuring cup or some other round vessel as a mold. You can get the soap out of the mold by running hot water around the outside of the mold or by freezing the mold (after the soap has hardened (which generally causes the soap to shrink away from the sides of the mold).
Just a thought...
