Default L'occitane Plisson(LP) vs Semogue 2000(S2k) - The ultimate showdown

So first of all let me just say that both brushes are great in their own way!

    Now lets see some comparison:

    1. Regarding the backbone, although LP has better backbone than almost any badger there is, it falls really short when compared to a Boar especially to the S2k
    2. The softnes of the LP brush tips lays right up top with the silvertip badgers and is far more silk like than the boars so if you want to scrub your face a bit than go with the boars
    3. While lathering, in LP the lather is contained within the tips and with S2k the lather is pulled into the knot which needs to be squeezed out later
    4. LP does not need to soak in water, S2k does
    5. LP comes with a stand, S2k does not
    6. LP needs less time to dry out after use than S2k
    7. LP knot is 22mm while S2k is 25mm - wether smaller is better or not i leave up to you because YMMV. Personally i like bigger brushes!

All in all I would say that LP is a tad better brush but costs ( in Croatia that is) three times the S2k one. I am glad to say I own both of them and will be in heavy rotation!

To those who praise animal hair brushes, don't judge before you try this brush out! It WILL surprise you!

Good to know, I've still to give my LP a run out.
