    Default Brush suddenly shedding?

So last October I picked up my first razor, bought the dovo kit from SRD with the basic brush(Simpson pure badger, B4). Now I used it every other day for some time without problem, don;t know exact time but was at least a month. Now due to some beginners mistakes the dovo needed to be honed so I sent it in to SRD. Was about a month till i got it back, the brush sat on its stand for this time as my second razor was for my honing practice and was not ready. Now when I started to use the dovo and Simpson brush again, its leaving hairs on my soap puck. At first it was only one or two but it seems to be getting worse now, just used it now and it was 5+ hairs on my puck. My entire setup is exactly the same. Same razor same soap same everything.

Is there anything I could have done that caused this to happen? I wouldn't feel right trying to return a product I damaged. This last part may be in my head, but it also seems to be taking longer to pick up the same amount of soap.

There are numerous things you could have done to cause a problem with your brush. I think you should contact your vendor and discuss your situation with them.

Hi, I'm pretty sure Simpson will ask you to try and rectify the problem. There may be some care instructions that came with the Brush. I think they recommend shampooing and combing out the brushes a few times to see if that cures it, but I'm surer vendor will keep you right with what is the best thing to do.

Some brushes are shedders no matter what you do. I'd contact the vendor. Within a year they will probably replace it as long as it hasn't been abused.
