Thanked: 3TAOS Fine Badger brush
Trying to ID this brush I bought. Its the fine badger brush they have selling at 120 on their website. Is this a rebranded item, and how good of a value is this compared to other brushes of similar value?

They don't make it. it is rebranded. I know we have discussed it but I don't remember who makes it for them.
Usually with rebranded items there is an extra middleman in there so the price is higher.
As far as value goes you just have to compare what's out there. Value can change from person to person depending on what you like and the qualities and size and handle materials. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I don't know about that brush but my TAOS Turn-back travel brush is a rebranded Vulfix. They added the logo and doubled the price.
I saw it, wanted it and bought it. So it was worth the price to have it that day I guess.
Mine is a really nice brush and TAOS gets high marks for customer service so I don't feel to bad about the cost difference.

Gentlemen,
The Art of Shaving carries three standard badger hair brushes referred to as: pure, fine and silvertip. I would put the knots at about 24 or 25mm. The basic pure badger brush is typical of such brushes, and it is on the flimsy side, although suited for a beginner. The fine and the silvertip seem to be quality brushes. There is a fourth standard brush, probably 26 to 28mm knot silvertip, and higher priced. I don't know where the brushes are made and stamped for the chain; I would guess Germany.
The turn back travel brush is a silvertip, but I'm not sure where it is made. The standard travel brush, offered in the faux leather travel case, is a small pure badger that is fitted inside a travel tube. Several specialty brushes, including the battery operated one, as well as those with nickel, chrome and horn handles, range from fine to silvertip, and come at various prices. Two lesser brushes, in the starter kit and the TSA approved package, are pure badger grade, with the one in the starter kit being a throw-away, really.
