Default Anyone try High Mountain Badger?

What are your experiences with it? I've been using a horse hair brush for awhile and while it's not terrible I wish I had my badger that my dog decided to destroy and scatter around the bathroom. I had just got the thing and only used it maybe once or twice. I finally decided it was time to upgrade again and bought a 24mm High Mountain from Larry. Not sure when it will be here but I'm excited because it should be the best quality brush I've had to date. The horse sheds like crazy and I don't really like the shape of it too much. My lather seems to dry out in it pretty fast too.

I have a HMW from The Golden Nib, but may be very different from the one your getting. It's very soft, much softer than my silvertip. All I feel is the lather when I use it,and not much of the hair at all. I do really like mine.

I was originally going to get one from there. Decided to get one from Larry though because of cost and what others have said about his brushes. I've heard great things about TGN too but I couldn't really justify the extra cash to get one from there. Maybe in due time I get one to compare!

Maybe I will too! I hope you enjoy the brush when you get it.

I order a HMW knot from WSP. It's still a work in progress as far as getting it all put together. I can't wait!

StraightOverload , I purchased HMW from TGN and Whipped dog, they are not the same IMO.

HMW isn't worth the price tag that comes with it, but to each their own. WSP is through the roof. But then again it maybe that I'm just in the wrong tax bracket LOL

FYI-Larry's is a High Mountain, similar to a 2-Band Finest. The TGN is a High Mountain White. They are very different knots.

Thanks Lince - I didn't pick up on that "High Mountain" vs. "High Mountain White" thanks for pointing out the difference. Guess I had a brain fart LOL
    So basically marketing? Very slick....

I have a HMW brush very nice and soft.

I also have a Silvertip (30mm from Larry) and thats a nice knot a bit of a later hog but I can live with that.

I had no idea there was a difference. Thanks for the heads up. The brush should be here in a week or so. I'll try to remember to report back with my experience with it. Not that I have anything of quality to compare it to though.
