Anyone try High Mountain Badger?
What are your experiences with it? I've been using a horse hair brush for awhile and while it's not terrible I wish I had my badger that my dog decided to destroy and scatter around the bathroom. I had just got the thing and only used it maybe once or twice. I finally decided it was time to upgrade again and bought a 24mm High Mountain from Larry. Not sure when it will be here but I'm excited because it should be the best quality brush I've had to date. The horse sheds like crazy and I don't really like the shape of it too much. My lather seems to dry out in it pretty fast too.

Thanked: 2284I have a HMW from The Golden Nib, but may be very different from the one your getting. It's very soft, much softer than my silvertip. All I feel is the lather when I use it,and not much of the hair at all. I do really like mine.

I was originally going to get one from there. Decided to get one from Larry though because of cost and what others have said about his brushes. I've heard great things about TGN too but I couldn't really justify the extra cash to get one from there. Maybe in due time I get one to compare!

Thanked: 237I order a HMW knot from WSP. It's still a work in progress as far as getting it all put together. I can't wait!

Thanked: 375StraightOverload , I purchased HMW from TGN and Whipped dog, they are not the same IMO.
HMW isn't worth the price tag that comes with it, but to each their own. WSP is through the roof. But then again it maybe that I'm just in the wrong tax bracket LOLLast edited by Trimmy72; 02-06-2015 at 09:18 AM.

FYI-Larry's is a High Mountain, similar to a 2-Band Finest. The TGN is a High Mountain White. They are very different knots.

I have a HMW brush very nice and soft.
I also have a Silvertip (30mm from Larry) and thats a nice knot a bit of a later hog but I can live with that.
