No. I'm only 65. My teacher made me start shaving when I was 12. not much beard but the stash was there. back then you couldn't wear your hair long or have a stash and teachers whopped ya when you messed up then pop popped you when ya got home. Really think we need more of that now days. Oh and the brush was my dads. I think he got in 50. some times when I think of those days and try to type my mind and fingers don't work at the same speed. Dad and I shared the same brush until I went into the service and then when I came home. In the service I used hand soap and shaved in the shower. when dad passed I kept the brush and used it off and on since then. now since Sep 2013 I've used only it. So between my dad and me it's been well used. Next time I set up for photos i'll take a photo of it and the new one side by side. I really don't know how it has helled up as good as it has. It really looks good for it's age. Sorry about miss the information. Wasn't intentional. I HATE MATH I got one of my year books out and subtracted the years. I remembered the grade and the teachers name and her photo. I really believe she hated kids. anyway from now on I'll do better at getting the dates and time right.

The old brush looks a little tired, but not bad for it's age and use. The new brush is pretty slick looking.

You sure took good care of the old one :<0) I hear the boar breaks in and gets softer so give it some time. I won't say how much.

The old ones has a right to be tired. I'm not going to retire it just use now and then. the new one is just a little taller than the old one but feels good in the hand. The old one was leaning more but I heated some water to not quite boiling and added some fabric softener and the brush relaxed some when hung upside down. I'm afraid to do to much to it I really don't want to harm it. after all we've come a long way together and it reminds me of dad. I've got 4 different soaps from SRD so i'll assign it to just one of them. I've the mug from back then but don't us it I kind of like the soap and container they come in from SRD. Neat and clean and easy to keep up with. The brush came with a plastic stand but I don't know if I like it or not. It closes off the back side of the brush and might be harder for air to get to it and dry it. I wonder if it would be better to shake it good wipe with a cloth and set it up right to dry. I'll read more here at SRP. I do like the weight of the new brush. it feels like you have something in your hand. you know.

I have 3 Omega boars. When I first got them, I broke them in by palm lathering several times a day. In less than a week they were broken in, the ends were splitting and there was no piggy odor left. Semogue makes great brushes too.

I found this one on the bay. It's a C40 so it think it's just like the old one. Suppose to be nos. been trying to find out when every ready made the C4 or any of there brushes. so far no luck.
