Default lavernedan Ebay Brush came... WHAT A BEAUT!!

So I recieved my hand made silvertip brush purchased on ebay from lavernedan yesterday.

WOW!!! I thought for sure all the hooplah about badger was a bunch of crap, but this is unbelievable! Compared to the boars hair from target I've been using, this thing is like butter!!! It lathers more than twice as fast as boar, feels like hot lathered sex on my face, and is beautiful to boot!!!

If you're interested in a beautiful handmade brush at less than half the cost of some of the other's with plastic handles, check this man out! You won't be dissapointed

    Glad you like it.

I also seem to use a silvertip more than boar lately.

For the benefit of newbies who might stumble here and not be aware: boar brushes tend to lather faster, at least with hard soaps.

I used my $5 Burma shave with cheap Tabac soap the other day and loved it. Then I used my $... I don't even want to think how much $ - Plisson HMW horn brush with Trumper's violet soap. I must say I enjoyed the Burma + Tabac combo much more. (the Plisson is a fabulous brush, just doesn't seem to work that well with Trumper's violet soap).

    Cheers

I just won a 25mm. silvertip badger brush from the same guy. I have both a boar bristle, and a pure badger bristle brush. Now with the silvertip I can see what the differences are between the three. One thing I do know the pure badger works better with creams and the boar bristle works better with the soaps. They say the silvertip is much softer and really absorbs the water. My silvertips handle is made out of black walnut and has a waterproof satin finish. Now for the hard part, waiting for it to arrive.

I got one from him as well. I like it.
A bit *too* soft actually, but it's a lot of fun to use.

I think that Plisson brush is a real dog. You should just use the Boar Hair and send the plisson to me. I'll even pay the postage. I'll force myself to use it!
