I have Semogue Boars, Vie Long Horse Hair and different brands of STB brushes.. They all perform well. I seem to pick the STB more often for my shaves. The STB are the softest, hold the most water, heat, and lather.

    Gentlemen,

I have trimmed my lineup of shaving brushes to two Thater custom two-bands. I have sent out a Burma Shave boar brush for re-knotting with a silvertip knot. My synthetics include Simpson Chubby 2, Plisson and Edwin Jagger XL. I especially love the Plisson synthetic. Then there are several boar bristle brushes that I bring out of retirement from time to time, including the Semogue Owners Club, 1250, 2000, 1305 and 830, and the Omega 81064. The boars are coming out this week.
