Cheap brush,Nice handle
Besides collecting razors, I also turn wood. I've always given that "Gee I wish I could afford one of those" looks at the "OH MY GAWD" priced Badger hair brushes with the really nice custom turned handles I see on EBay. Started thinkin about making "Custom Handled" brushes with out the Badger. That is a brush made out of plain old Oink, Oink boar bristle, but with a really nice custom handle made out of some wood not found in your back yard. Kind of a working mans brush. Affordable, but looks just as nice as the "I can't tell the wife about this one".
I've posted attachments of two of the brushes I've turned handles for to get some feed back as to whether it's a worth while endeavor. These brushes started as normal off the shelf stock at Walgreens. One has a Bocote handle, the other has a Zebrawood handle. I'll never make exactly the same handle twice. If I put em up for auction on EBay you can be assured that you would be bidding on something unique. (Except for the Oink,Oink part of course.))
Let me know what you think.
See ya
