Some cases in point! Boars as well. O-rings in a variety of diameters and thicknesses, can really tune a brush, IMO. Make for nice mug-bumpers as well.

Seems funny, 1 or 2 mm under makes a great difference. Sometimes, you wind up with one just lightly on there. I used 2, stacked, on a few and realized that one, properly-sized, would do it just as well .
It would seem that if I was compensating for more than 5 mm's, may as well use a tighter, larger o-ring.
I am in the automotive trade, so a variety comes along. Every gasket set includes extras for slightly different applications.
Still, it has been interesting to fix the ones which lofts have been misplaced. Intentionally, or not!

It all seems to be limited by when the o-ring climbs up the hairs.
Even then, some discretionary CA keeps the o-ring in place.

OH he has seen it,but I use O rings for there intended purpose

Glad to see the vintage blades brush getting some love! Its a very underrated brush in my opinion that tends to go unnoticed. But mine has been a perfect everyday workhorse the last few months I've had it.
