    As already stated above. There is absolutely no reason to use boiling water on your brush. The odds of you in time doing damage to it is very high and you will likely need to replace it much sooner than if you used warm water. My rule of thumb is any water that is too hot for my skin is too hot for the brush.

    It's your brush however and not mine, so you are free to do what you wish. However I DEFINITELY would not want to purchase such a brush from anyone. That is for sure.

    I wouldn't be surprised if the brush I purchased just recently was a brush treated with boiling water as it was a very heavy shedder.
