    Default Restored Rubberset 400-3

Arrived in the mailbox today: my Rubberset 400-3 that has been fully restored and re-knotted by @clint64 over on TSD that did an absolutely amazing job!

I couldn't he happier with the result...it is...breathtakingly beautiful - far better looking in person that these photos can convey. Clint spent an incredibly attention to detail for everything from polishing up that dull, scratched handle I sent him - to removing and replacing the knot with this silvertip.

    Note on the knot:
This is the "Grade A" Silvertip knot from TGN.
It is being sold as 'a silvertip in all ways but with more backbone' - and I must say that it truly does seem to combine extremely soft tips but with a very, very nice backbone.

    Over to the brush itself....:

    What I sent out:

    What I got back:

It is already getting comfy with my Tradere:

Had it's first use today - a bit funky badger smelling - but man, loved that handle and knot!

I actually don't know but I would think so based on the weight.
There is also a modern 'homage version' made of it: BSB SHAVING BRUSHES

It's this knot - 24/65 - but a bulb instead of a fan shape (I'm partial to bulbs for some reason)
    It was set at 50mm.

I gotta say, not sure if it's because of this "Grade A" stuff but I am loving the combination of silvertip softness and some decent backbone.

but it does look like it is an aluminium handle though.

$560?! That's insane... I bought mine for $80 last year and I thought that was much.
Nowadays the do seem to go for north of $150 if in decent condition.
