Default Got a new High Mountain White

I used my TGN High Mountain White 22mmx48mm oscar11 brush today. I am going to like it! The handle is a bit taller than most M7's.

Does the HMW lather better than a silvertip?

Very nice, you should use that photo for a SOTD post as well.

I have both the TGN Silvertip "A" and now the HMW. Honestly, I could not tell the difference this morning. It is still to early to tell though. This knot is also smaller, 22mmx48mm vs 24mmx50mm. I will need some more shaves to really do a fair comparison.

    Hi Bob

Let us know which one you determine to be superior.

This will be fun trying to decide if one is a better latherer than the other.

I've had the HMW knots and the premium silvertips in hand, and couldn't tell the difference by looking at them. That being said, I have a 26mm Grade A that I use, and a 24mm HMW. Both great knots. Never tried their Premium silvertips but have used them in brushes I've made. I find the HMW knots to be firm with VERY soft tips and hold a TON of water. The Grade As I find have a bit more backbone and a bit more scritch and still hold a lot of water, also a great knot. Can't comment on how the Premiums perform.

Lince, Lovely brush! Oscar does fabulous work.

You sly devil. You got me excited for a moment and I thought you were going to say you got a Plisson HMW.
