Lesson learned
Here a few months ago I ordered an Omega boar brush. It didn't occur to me to what the difference would be I knew that I had always used a boar brush and this new one would be just what I wanted. Wrong. The handle is good but the bristles are so long that they bend so much that creating a lather with soap is a little difficult for me. now the other than that the brush is ok. it looks good the handle feels good in the hand it's just not what I expected. I said all that to say this to anyone new to this game or some one who has been shaving with brush and soap for some time but really doesn't know about bristle length. For me the shorter bristles and stiffer bristles create a lather quicker and easier with soap that bristles that are long and softer. I'll probably keep the brush just not use it. Now I don't collect brushes. I think I have 3 others and they are Ever-ready boar C40. I know when I got the Omega I thought it was great but the more I've used it the less I liked it. So for those beginning this trip take time to study what there is and then buy. When I buy another I'll take the time to find out about these things.
