    Default Synthetic recommendations...

Looking for opinions/recommendations on a replacement synthetic knot for a vintage Ever-Ready.
The current knot is 22mm and have been considering upping it to a 24mm.

Member HarryWally made up 2 brushes for me with 24mm synthetic knots. I believe they were from TGN but best PM him to be sure. They work very nicely for face lathering. I had both knots set to a 48mm loft.

Got a Sunrise knot 24/55 that works very well. Not much back bone though.
I also have a Ubersoft 26/53, with good backbone but no spring that I like a lot.
Finally I have a 30mm set at 33/56 that also has good backbone but no spring and works great for me.

GD Carrington, who has done a LOT of research and hands on testing of knots, recommended going for a Frank's Gen 4 Pur-Tech Synthetic. I had him put one in a Canadian Fuller Brush Handle. It is 24mmx52mm. You may want to look at them as well. I sure like mine........

I have not tried them but the Asylum Brush Works brushes look good to me. The knot/loft specs seem good and handles are copies of classic designs. If the Canadian dollar wasn't so weak I'd be tempted to buy one to try.
