Thread: Are these any good

I bought both of these brushes and was wondering if there worth restoring.

What do you mean by "any good"?

If you try them and they work they are good.

if you mean what are they worth we don't do that here.

They are basic brushes made for the masses probably prior to 1960 going back to the 1930s or so.

I was wondering condition. I won't to restore them but I'm not sure how. I figured that if they were hard to come by it would be worth the effort. If there where a lot I would look for another in better condition.

If you check out the brushmakers alcove the guys there will be glad to give you some tips in restoring those. Some of the folks here have restored those very brushes and the results were quite good.

Pretty common brush I've found a few in new condition for not much money. Tc

Those would be good to practice on if you are going to get into restoration because they are common and inexpensive. You can tune your skills and then step up to a better brush

How I got the barnyard look I don't know but it's not half bad
