My sweetheart of 48 years gave me a couple Acqua Di Parma colognes that matched some of my soaps, and a pair of Ugg slippers to keep my old feet warm on cold winter nights.

Thanked: 4I received a Shaving Factory set consisting of a horsehair shave brush, a small apothecary shave mug, and two 50g pucks of Shaving Factory shave soap.
I'm very impressed with the soap. For as cheap as it is, the soap does a very good job. It builds really creamy lather that provides good glide and cushion. It definitely is less finicky than my MWF. It has a smell that reminds me of Dove or Jergens soap. I guess the smell is not unlike a 50s/60s era soap. But it is a pleasant surprise for a low cost soap. From what I seemed to have read, it's Derby soap rebranded.
The brush is not bad either. It was a bit softer brand new compared to my Omega 10049 boar I've had for two months. It did a great job on the soft soap and next shave, I'm going to give it a whirl with MWF. I think this brush will work well with creams. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't notice any of the horsey smell that such brushes are known to have. But then, I have multiple cats so I probably wouldn't notice the smell even if I tried.

The only one that was wrapped, was the Nivea after-shave my kids bought me.
Uwrapped a couple of days beforehand, "To Dad, from Dad' presents, included 3 locally produced soaps and a Joseph Rodgers 6/8" which needs to be refurbished. Still awaiting delivery, which I should collect this week, is a Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic.Tony

I splurged on me this year
Three nice matching brush handles from Trimmy/Brushcraft (knotted one with silver tip, one boar, and one synth)
Also, since you only enjoy a 50th Christmas once, a TIPTLE from Painless Jimmy (thanks @JimmyHAD!)
And a big W&B
Spoiler Alert: I wasn't even a very good boy. This only confirms that there is no justice in the world today.Last edited by entropy1049; 12-27-2015 at 08:01 PM.

Didn't receive any shave related items, wife surprised me with a Harley tool 2 piece tool box.
Guess I'll have to mention she should have put a brush in the top drawer. Tc“ I,m getting the impression that everyone thinks I have TIME to fix their bikes”

Got me some On-Time Santa stuff at the in-laws.
I am not seeing how my brush with fit in the jar to load these....

Even though my wife swore she wasn't going to feed my addiction....
She apparently went into an AOS and got suckered into buying a lavender shave kit with lavender preshave, soap, aftershave balm, and a Gillette badger brush.
She also picked up some AOS peppermint which she stole from me after I shaved her legs with it.
The last thing is some kind of soap called Chief's Energizing Cream for Men - it smells like noxema and is very thin. I'll have to see how it does. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

That "Art of Shaving" shave balm is de bomb! I had a straight razor shave at a Art of shaving store and they used all their products on me, my face was alive and well, man that felt good.
