Incidentally, when I've re-polished the originals I found that using the usual compounds on soft mops and with a light touch was OK.

Not sure what he wants for a TI but the one on flea bay is at 135.00. Don't know if it's titanium or not. Tc

Little update, finding the shine slowly. Still a bunch more to go.

Course, part of the fun is getting it all shiny only to see there are a few divots still. Like in the third pic where the reflection gets wonky.
Getting there though. Having some rubber forms of various contours really helps keep the edges crisp, as Tom mentioned..

Now if you ask me, I'd stop right there. It still has the presence of being old. Still has some of that nice patina, but looks very clean. Great work Mike.

Thanks Andrew. Only took 1 DVD to get to that stage.
Mothers is awesome on aluminium castings I am finding on this project. Cleaned up the stamp oxidation very well with a toothpick and dremel nylon cup type wheel. I used the dremel cup manually, not in the dremel tool, to scrub the stamp. In the flutes on the handle, 1200 grit wet in two directions only, over and over.
The fingers do get grimy from the polish though..

Take it to the buffer, lightly with the brown stuff for aluminum.

Seller of the Ti replicas responded tonight.
    275-290 euros depending on knot.
I wonder if he'd sell just a finished end, and if it has the same threads as the original,,,
A badger swappable head that fits OEM... that'd be cool.
