Default Looking for a new brush

Current brush is some generic cheap brush with boar bristles. Looking to spend 30-50$ for a badger brush, doesn't have to look fancy. Wondering if you guys have seen any good deals recently or any suggestions, thanks for help.

edit* found a brush thanks for looking

What did you end up going with?

I would have recommended a Stirling Finest 26mm.

Went with a parkers 22 mm brush. Is pure badger and pretty nice. I learned a bit about knots and I like the handle on my old brush so I might pick up a silver tip badger knot for it once I do a bit more research on it.
I like the handle the Parker brush came with so the 2 handles I have will keep me happy. I definitely like the feel of the new brush didn't realize what I was missing out on. Excited to try out the other type of badger tips

I'm with Azgabe. I would recommend one of the Stirling badgers for your next one. I'm also a big fan of their soap as well.

Christian1: What do you think about Boar Bristles? I have never had one but I have had good experiences with my Badger Hair.

Well the one I had came with a cheap kit (brush, soap, strop) when I got my first straight and didn't want to invest to much but needed those items and was few years ago so I cant find where I got it from. With that said I liked it and after using it for awhile it turned into a nice brush however I cant really give you any more details other than "plastic green handle, boar brush." If you have money to spend though I would invest 20-30$ to try out Boar bristles. My Boar bristle brush is currently softer than badger but it is few years old compared to new badger.

Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised with the badger over the boar. I'm not sure how well the boar holds soap and lathers up, but it would be hard to beat some of mine. I might have to get a boar brush for comparison.

You could also consider a horse hair. I have a Vie-Long that I end up going to more than my boar, when I'm not using a badger.

I have an old everready and a newer omega 11047 mixed midget. Especially with soap pucks, I like the stuff backbone and they seem to work well with my normally dry, flaky skin. Disclaimer: the midget is smaller than I would prefer but the knot feels nice, as an inexpensive example for you.

I would have recommended a Simpson Special badger. Great little brush.
