Hey Tc, personally, I think it's a great brush, simply for the fact that it is so out there in terms of style, bulbs, fans, blah, blah, blah....LOL...this one's flat...something different.

Add in the D01-2 with that density, scritch and backbone, and it's get's picked up frequently to use....takes several uses before it really starts to grow on you, but the more I use it, it just keeps getting cooler....will probably get another one at some point with a smaller face, really small brush....

The Shavemac website shows the Americana being 24mm x 48mm I believe, did you order another size or did you order the standard one and receive a larger brush?

    Thank you,

    Dan

How small of a knot are you thinking about getting? Does a flat top feel larger than say a bulb of the same size?

    Thanks,

    Dan

I was thinking of going from my usual 23 x 48 down to 19 x 44 for the next flat top.....would certainly be a concentrated scrubber......

It's a custom knot. Brush loaded well with hard soaps too. Mike
